چکیده

The concept of algae biorefinery is attracting attention because the abundant valuable compounds within algal biomass. Phenyllactic acid (PhLA), a broad-spectrum antimicrobial organic that can be produced by lactic bacteria (LAB), considered potential biopreservative. In this study, cascading approach was developed to harvest PhLA from Porphyra residues LAB fermentation. strains were cultivated in de Man, Rogosa and Sharpe (MRS) broth screen their ability produce PhLA. As Lactobacillus plantarum KP3 L. KP4 higher concentrations at 0.09 mg/mL, these two employed for After phycobiliprotein extraction, residues, ultrafiltration eluate, phenylalanine (Phe) yeast extract with volume 20 mL inoculated strain fermented 37 °C 120 h. content 1.86 mg. To optimize process, eluate replaced commercial cellulase. Up 4.58 mg PhLA, which 2.5 times greater than cultured MRS broth, could harvested. Taken together, findings provide an optimized process fermentation, shown feasible obtaining residues.

Production of succinic acid by bacterial fermentation

Succinic acid produced by various microorganisms can be used as a precursor of many industrially important chemicals in food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The assessment of raw material cost and the estimation of the potential market size clearly indicate that the current petroleum-based succinic acid process will be replaced by the fermentative succinic acid production system in the...

Phenyllactic Acid: A Potential Antimicrobial Compound in Lactic acid Bacteria

3-Phenyllactic acid (PhLA) is a broad spectrum antimicrobial compound active against bacteria and fungi. PhLA exists in two chiral isomers, L-PhLA and D-PhLA which show antimicrobial activity. D-PhLA shows more antimicrobial activity than L-PhLA and hence it is receiving great attention as food and feed additive in place antibiotics which control the microbial contamination and thereby increase...

Novel method of lactic Acid production by electrodialysis fermentation.

In lactic acid fermentation by Lactobacillus delbrueckii, the produced lactic acid affected the lactic acid productivity. Therefore, for the purpose of alleviating this inhibitory effect, an electrodialysis fermentation method which can continuously remove produced lactic acid from the fermentation broth was applied to this fermentation process. As a result, the continuation of fermentation act...

Brewery Waste Reuse for Protease Production by Lactic
Acid Fermentation.

This study evaluated the use of three solid brewery wastes: brewer's spent grain, hot trub and residual brewer's yeast, as alternative media for the cultivation of lactic acid bacteria to evaluate their potential for proteolytic enzyme production. Initially, a mixture experimental design was used to evaluate the effect of each residue, as well as different mixtures (with the protein content set...
